Our day at the races to celebrate Singapore’s racing history

The Singapore Turf Club celebrated 182 years of horse racing heritage in Singapore on Saturday 5 October 2024, as it staged the Grand Singapore Gold Cup with a spectacular farewell to racing.

Earlier in the year, History Ink was commissioned to provide research services for a series of films and exhibitions honouring the Club’s rich history. It was a privilege to collaborate with passionate creatives at the Singapore Turf Club, Jack Morton and CraveFX to deliver Heritage Walks, a Hall of Fame exhibition, and 11 commemorative video tributes.

We were delighted to join some 10,000 racegoers to witness the Club’s celebration - and to see racegoers engage with the exhibitions and films we helped put together that honour the Club’s incredible legacy.

We are proud of the journey we’ve shared with the Club and the role we’ve played in commemorating this historic occasion. We’ll be sharing more about this special project on our website in the coming weeks. In the meantime, we hope you enjoy these pictures from our memorable day at the Grand Singapore Gold Cup!
