Milton Keynes history exhibition @ Unity Place
History Ink was invited to create a special exhibition to mark the opening of Santander UK’s new Unity Place head office in Milton Keynes. The display was also highlighted as part of the company’s milestone 175th anniversary celebrations. Unveiled in November 2024 and situated in the main lobby, the showcase was designed for both staff and members of the public to enjoy.
The exhibition tells the story of Milton Keynes and Santander UK’s ties and commitment to the city. Using photographs, historic documents and film, the narrative explores the ancient history of Milton Keynes as a crossroads, as well as the World War Two history of Bletchley Park - home to Britain’s code breakers - and its more recent history as a pioneering New Town and technology hub.
The exhibition featured an interactive touchscreen, which enabled users to explore oral histories with local residents recorded by our history partner for this project, the Living Archive of Milton Keynes, and produced by the History Ink team.
Working together with our designers Sugar HK, we enjoyed creating this vibrant homage to a great city.
